• Peru suspends trials of a Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine in 12,000 people to investigate a serious adverse event. The country’s National Institute of Health reported that the participant had difficulty moving their arms; German Malaga, chief researcher at Cayetano Heredia University, which is involved with the study, said the trial participant had experienced decreased strength in his legs, and “ … neurological symptoms which could correspond to a condition called Guillain-Barre syndrome.” The country had planned to purchase 20 million doses of the vaccine if it proved to be safe and effective. • Although a coronavirus vaccine is not yet approved, Germany is preparing vaccination centers across the nation, with the goal to complete them by 15 December.
